This is the first map I ever created. Some textures were created from photos taken with a digital camera, others were hand painted. In the time of release this level brought "fresh" gameplay with realistic euro enviroment, unlike other official levels. My second release brought this not yet seen enviroment to CS player's home. ( not seen in CS, at least ). Creation of this level was very challenging, although I've picked up a lot of expirience on cs_haste level. This map featured counter-terrorist jump from an airplane, bridge crash into the river after being bombed and some other complex logical and technical entity workouts, which was also an original and new eye candy. Excellent gameplay balance, fresh ideas and fresh look brought this map to the top in the favourite list of many counter-strike players. The engine and its logics were not a barrier any more, so I decided to go up to the very limits of the Half-Life engine. This map is one of few visually largest CS maps, although its medium sized and well balanced. Map features quite a lot of stunning visual effects combined with its huge open areas and lots of advanced entity mechanisms. This map is one of the first CS maps that used models as a part of the player's world. I also take credit for all the textures on this map.
